Welcome to My Prescription for Happiness!

My name is Amanda! I am a Doctoral Candidate Class of 2016 at Wingate University School of Pharmacy in North Carolina. I am also a recent graduate of Florida State University (Go Noles!).  I graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science.

I really try to live a healthy balanced lifestyle. After graduating from Florida State in the Spring, I started to think "Who am I?" I began to dig deeper into my hobbies, passions, faith and goals. I discovered a lot about myself by just focusing on my mind, body, and soul. I realized that I had a lot of passion for helping people but normally when it came to helping myself, I was the last on my list. This is when I knew I had to reevaluate how I lived my life. I started to mediate, practiced yoga and pilates, ate nutritional and feel good foods, found my faith, and challenged my mind academically. I wanted a prescription for a happy life. I wanted to be confident in myself and how I lived my life. Every day is a different situation and I am excited to learn more about the person I am throughout this exciting journey called life.

I hope that my blog inspires you to:
-challenge you mind: think about who you are as a person, think about how you live your life, and dive into your academic passions.
-love your body: fill your body with delicious and nutritious foods, inspire you to try new exercises, and dress your best.
-soul search: find your faith.

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy :)
